Poppy is still very 1973 inside. I think this is quite amazing. But I also think it’s time for an update. My plan is Art Deco meets Fun and Funky! I want the color scheme to be the same as in my quilt studio, with lots of shiny silver thrown in, too!
Here’s a tour of what Poppy looks like–the way she arrived here in our lives.
She has a nice plaid sofa, which makes into a bed. Perfect for taking one grandchild at a time camping with us!

For meals, card playing or sewing, there is a fold up table.

In the kitchen, there’s a little prep area, and some storage. The fridge is below.

Opposite that is the sink and four burner stove–and an ugly greenish yellow laminate. You know that’s gotta go!

There’s a center hallway with twin beds on either side. There is so much fake brown wood grain throughout the whole trailer. I don’t know whether or not to try painting it, but I’m tempted! I’ve heard you can buy the roll up door stuff in chrome! That might be cool.

Ah, the bathroom. There is a shower, and that’s a plus.

Hmmmmm, about that comode……..

Well, I hope you enjoyed your tour. As we make progress, I’ll put up more photos.

Did you ever get the makeover? I was just looking for decoraing ideas for a travel trailer we just bought when I came across this post. Being a quilter and designer even it you didn’t get choosen for the makeover I bet you did a great job on your own and would love to see pictures. I love the idea of fun and funky meets art deco.
